In July, SouthPoint purchased the former Kobe Japanese Steakhouse site on U. S. Highway 280 and has plans to move its headquarters to the location. The property is located at 3501 Grandview Parkway.

Barrett Architecture Studio is working on the design of the 3-story, 27,000 sq. ft. building. The design will be conducive to banking and will accommodate private bank events.

Demolition is scheduled to begin no later than early 2017 with a move-in date scheduled for early 2018. All bank divisions including commercial lending, mortgage lending, retail and operations will be housed in the new building.

The bank is currently located at 3500 Colonnade Parkway. It was founded in 2005 and has $235 million in local deposits.
